Four Palestinians killed in Israeli attacks in Gaza Strip, medics say
Four people were killed in Israeli attacks in the Gaza Strip on Monday, medical sources reported.
They said two Palestinians were killed and others injured in two Israeli drone strikes in the south of the sealed-off coastal territory.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said in a statement that three people had approached Israeli soldiers behind the yellow line, “posing an immediate threat to them.” The military withdrew behind this line as part of the ceasefire agreement with Palestinian Islamist group Hamas.

“The IDF struck the three terrorists in order to remove the threat. Hits were identified,” the military continued, without specifying whether or how many of the targeted people were killed.
In an incident further north, medical sources in the Gaza Strip also reported that two Palestinians were killed by Israeli artillery fire in the east of Gaza City.
The incident reportedly occurred near the yellow line. An Israeli army spokeswoman said that the military was not aware of such an incident.
More than 330 Palestinians have been killed in violent incidents since the ceasefire took effect on October 10, according to the health authority in the Gaza Strip.
