A hair transformation doesn’t have to be dramatic to make a big splash. Just take actor Zoë Kravitz, whose subtle color tweak this month is bound for fall mood boards everywhere.
Called “coco suede” by Rita Hazan, the celebrity colorist and salon owner behind the change, Kravtiz’s warm new shade is a departure for the star, who has gone for cool-toned deep shades and icy platinum in the past.
“Coco suede is warm but neutral, not red or brassy,” Hazan says. “It gives her skin tone a sun-like glow.”
Kravitz debuted the shade on the set of Die Alive, a forthcoming dark romantic comedy written and directed by Megan Park (My Old Ass, Sterling Point). “I did it a few weeks ago for the movie role she is doing now,” Hazan confirms.
We’ll be keeping an eye out for further details on the project—but until then, Kravitz’s new color is setting a cozy tone for the cooler months.
