Zheneng Jinjiang Environment H1 profit up 60.5% at 332 million yuan

Its revenue stood at 1.82 billion yuan, a marginal increase of 0.6 per cent from 1.81 billion yuan in H1 2024

China-based waste treatment group Zheneng Jinjiang Environment on Saturday (Aug 9) posted a profit of 332 million yuan (S$59.4 million) for its first half ended June 30, 60.5 per cent up from 206.9 million yuan in the previous corresponding period.

This translated to an earnings per share of 0.2304 yuan, up from 0.1423 yuan previously.

Its revenue stood at 1.82 billion yuan, a marginal increase of 0.6 per cent from 1.81 billion yuan in H1 2024.

The topline growth was mainly attributed to improved operational efficiency at existing waste-to-energy plants, better efficiency on enhanced grate furnace systems and increase in revenue from slag by-products.

No dividend was declared for the period.

The counter finished Friday flat at S$0.45.
