Zara’s Spring Collection Is the Chicest Yet—9 Buys That Will Sell Out First

The first bright spring days have arrived, and in turn, a new mood has settled over Zara. In an instance, the heavy layering and insulating styles of winter have been thrown off in favour of light fabrics, refreshing colour palettes, and, as always, a heavy dose of elegance. In celebration of the bright skies and colourful flowers in bloom, Zara has launched its optimistic spring collection, and it might be my favourite yet.

Spring’s arrival marks a distinct shift in our wardrobes. Not only are we setting aside coats in favour of jackets and packing away our cosiest cashmere, but there’s a change in mood when it comes to silhouette and shade. Zara’s spring collection embraces these key elements, with a mix of structured forms and floaty silhouettes, reliable neutral shades and more joyful infusions. All together, the overarching feeling of the new arrivals is effortless ease, polish and a seriously expensive look.

My first intention for my spring wardrobe is to cement the foundations. My capsule wardrobe buys are relied upon year after year, and now I’m looking for a few new additions to support their hard work. First up is Zara’s cream trench coat, instantly refreshed by the lighter shade and fashion-forward in its funnel-neck design. Following on is a touch of tailoring in the form of the wide-leg trousers, a playful take on bold pleating that is both striking and versatile. The sense of joy throughout this collection comes from the colour trends at play. Delicate pinks that were all over the runways have trickled down to the high street, accenting smart trousers and accessories alongside vivid reds and soft browns. This season, Zara leans into the expensive-looking silhouettes, with contrasting forms of relaxed blouses, sculpted dresses and neatly cut trousers.
