US: Wall Street opens lower after rally, Trump’s visa crackdown weighs


WALL Street’s main indices opened lower on Monday (Sep 22) after rallying to record highs in the previous session, while uncertainty around President Donald Trump’s visa policies also dimmed sentiment.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 108.6 points, or 0.23 per cent, at the open to 46,206.69. The S&P 500 fell 10.1 points, or 0.15 per cent, to 6,654.28​, while the Nasdaq Composite dropped 24.9 points, or 0.11 per cent, to 22,606.592.
