Asharq al-Awsat reported that one of the two senior officials was in critical condition, while both of them were being treated in a private hospital “under strict security.”
The report confirmed that the two are officials from Hamas’s political leadership, though neither was named, and the severity of their injuries was not disclosed.

Strike targeted office of former Hamas leader, Ismail Haniyeh
The report also mentioned that the strike targeted the office of Hamas’s former leader, Ismail Haniyeh, which is next to Hayya’s house.
According to the report, the missile struck the opposite corner of the office from where the senior Hamas members were sitting, with them “relatively far away from the explosion.”
It also added that the large number of bodyguards killed in the strike could be a signal that Israel used the leaders’ telephones to target them, which they usually don’t carry in these types of meetings.
This is a developing story.
