This Is What New York Fashion Week Street Style Looked Like 10 Years Ago


September is around the corner, which can only mean one thing—it’s time for New York Fashion Week. In advance of the spring 2026 season, we took a break from scheduling and outfit planning to look back at what the scene at the shows a decade ago looked like. Back then Jack and Lazaro were still at the helm of Proenza Schouler (they’ll be celebrating their debut at Loewe in Paris this October), and Phil Oh was training his lens on favorite street style subjects like Lily Aldridge and Tavi Gevinson. Some things have changed—combat boots have ceded to sneakers, for example—but as we all know, what goes around in fashion will always come back around.
