The Hot List: 20 Must-Have Pieces, According to Instagram’s Favorite Fashion Sourcer

For this month’s column, I’m sharing my predictions for upcoming sold-out spring styles. From a new raffia bag by The Row (I expect to see this everywhere!), to Alaïa dropping a new pair of metallic mesh ballet flats that can’t seem to stay in stock (are we surprised!?). Requests have begun trickling in fast, now is the time to snap them up.

Alaïa Metallic Mesh Flats

I’m calling it now, these are the mesh flats that we are going to see everywhere. I posted them on our @gabwallerdotcom stories a couple of weeks ago (I love getting exclusive first release images!), and the DMs went wild. Sales were immediate. Please note, they do run big, I would recommend sizing down one full size.

The Row Sol Natural Bag

If you’re anything like me, I am starting to look for my go-to summer bag now. The one that has immediately caught my eye is the new Sol bag by The Row. Available now for pre-order, I’m making the call now that we will see this bag everywhere come summer.

The Row Mira Clutch

Another style that I have high expectations on is the all new Mira clutch in natural. Natural woven raffia is certainly increasing in popularity for the season ahead. We’ve seen raffia at The Row in many variations over the years, but a clutch style is a new one—I personally feel it’s a must-have.

Alaïa Cube 75 Satin Wedge Thong Sandals

The speed with which these are moving from “low stock” to “out of stock” is very, very Alaïa.

The Row Emi Platform

Platforms for summer?! They’re coming! I’m preparing for the large inbound of requests for them (and to personally purchase my own pair). My top pick is the new Emi Platform by The Row.

Saint Laurent Babylone Patent Leather Slingback

A Saint Laurent slingback pump is certainly nothing new, but the strong pointed toe on this style with the discreet logo placement is what has grabbed my attention—and held it. With the rise of masculine suiting (all thanks to Saint Laurent), this is the perfect sexy heel to polish off and finish the look.

The Row Dune Classic Sandals

I’m popping these on my “one to watch” radar. Thong sandals were spotted all over the spring/summer 2025 runways and I’m very curious to see if this pair will pop off for the season ahead. Produced in three colorways, this style very much takes me back to my Australian roots—if only I kept my “thongs” from many years ago!

Miu Miu Strappy Sandal

If the previous version of the Miu Miu strappy sandal is anything to go by, I can guarantee that this new season style will have the same effect. Already sold-out in multiple sizes, if your size is available, it’s time to snap them up now. Fast forward a couple of months and I can see these being worn all over Europe.

Alaïa Semi Sheer Pants

This is a big statement to make, but not a lot of collections make me as excited as Alaïa new ready-to-wear drops. Collection after collection, it continues to prove popular, reaching immediate and very strong demand, and consequently, sells out. These new peplum pants are a spring must-have, and Alaïa are certainly betting on the style, with them produced in various colors.

The Row Jolene Jacket

Celtic blue—now that is a spring color if I have ever heard of one. My first sourcing request came through for this style exactly two days ago, and I anticipate more to come over the coming week(s). This is the perfect transitional piece, one that can be styled in a multitude of ways as the weather starts to get warmer. The trending color is truly what seals the deal.

Khaite Danielle Jeans

Although not a new style, time and time again the Danielle jean by Khaite sells out. These are dubbed (and proven) to be one of the best jeans around. Consider it our lucky day that they have been restocked, I spot one lucky last size available now ready to be snapped up.

Hermès Harmonie Sandal

Truly, it is another level of excitement when I see a new Hermès shoe drop that I know is about to take off. It has happened on multiple occasions now, their shoes can’t stay in stock. From the Chypre (the original sold-out style), to the Go Mule (my best selling Hermès shoe last week was the Go Mule in pony hair), a new style has entered the chat. Introducing the Harmonie, now available in natural multi-colorway. Set your notifications on from now—they will drop online. My first sourcing request came through a little over two weeks days ago and I’m prepared for a lot more. I’ll finish with this: if you want to shop the style immediately, they have an almost full size run in black.

Bode Angel Fish Tank Top

Bode has never been shy in popping up in my sourcing requests. I’ve received a solid, steady amount over the years. I’m excited to see what they do this year as I expect it to be great. Currently, their newest Angel Fish Tank Top caught my eye. It touches on the fisherman aesthetic, and is the perfect layering piece for spring. I expect this style to sell out.

Polo Ralph Lauren Chino Cap

If you don’t already have a Polo Ralph Lauren cap, you’re going to need one. The easiest add to cart moment I have personally had of late. Kendall Jenner recently stepped out in this cap and cemented it as a key style to have. As it’s produced in a multitude of different colorways, your options are endless.

Tory Burch Cropped Blend Top

The Tory Burch renaissance continues, and going by its New York Fashion Week show this past week, they are absolutely not going anywhere. I’m anticipating a lot of sold-out styles for the year ahead. Looking back to the Hoop Dress of last year, I’m excited to see what styles of theirs will be the equivalent that in 2025. At present, this very cute two piece set (skirt linked here) is a must-have heading into spring. Another easy add-to-cart moment.

Miu Miu Cotton Jersey T-Shirt

A popular style from Miu Miu at present. I did a deep dive through our requests, and have noticed that Miu Miu striped shirts almost always pop off. They’re so easy to style, and heading into spring, the options are limitless. Wear them with shorts, over swimmers, dressed up, or dressed down—I could go on!

Khaite Audrey Suede Clutch

In other very exciting news from my past week, Khaite has now opened up a flagship on the West Coast, making it even easier to get my hands on my favorite pieces, and the store (located in South Coast Plaza) is beautiful—an experience in itself. With all eyes on Khaite this past week in New York, my attention has shifted towards their latest Audrey clutch. I’ve personally struggled to find a red suede clutch that I love, until now. Better yet, it has also been produced in beige and navy.

Alaïa Satin Point Toe Wedge Mules

There are quite a lot of Alaïa pieces in this month’s list, but this collection is just too strong. The newest point-toe wedge mules is another style we recently teased on our stories, and the demand was instant. A white wedge mule is a must for spring/summer, look no further than this style whilst your size is still available.

Celine Victoire Raffia Bag

I’m waiting with much anticipation to see which Celine pieces skyrocket in demand this season ahead. It’s a given that there will be a raffia piece in there, and my early bet is on their newest Victoire Bag in raffia. Looking towards the future, I see this selling out, followed quickly by their denim version, which I have also linked below.

Celine Victoire Denim Bag

A fantastic denim bag—wear it day or night, style it up or down. I particularly like the size of this style, and that you can wear it both cross-body and over the shoulder (this is a question I frequently get asked).

January

As I look towards the year ahead, I am inspired by all the spring/summer 2025 trends already in development. With Fashion Month approaching quickly—the street style is always a great indication of what the industry is excited about—I am focused on the seasonal themes and key buys I think will experience major momentum.

Trends strongly influence what occurs within the sourcing world, and below I am sharing the pieces I predict will be the first of 2025 to sell out. From moto boho, to aquatic and ballerina-inspired designs, there is a lot to look forward to. Let’s get into it, because as it goes—blink and they may be gone.

The demand for The Row is going to continue very strongly throughout 2025 (and beyond). One trend that I’m looking forward to is maxi or exaggerated suiting. We’re going to touch on that with other products below, but embracing unique takes on suiting as a whole, this pencil skirt by The Row is a key standout. I wore it recently on a panel I spoke at in Vegas and can confirm it is 10/10. A key piece for your work wardrobe.

Bartelle silk and wool pencil skirt

I recently read that moto boho is a trend for 2025, and I couldn’t agree more. We all know boho chic is back, but incorporating contrasting, bolder elements (such as a leather bomber), merges the soft lines of boho, with more harder elements. To kick start the trend, this jersey minidress by Saint Laurent caught my eye. Mix it with a leather jacket or leather biker boots to merge the hard and soft.

Loewe will continue to release noteworthy pieces throughout the year ahead (I know that won’t come as a surprise to anyone). For this season, the belted miniskirt is the one to do exactly that. Accessorizing is key for 2025, and what better way to do it than to buy a two-for-one—a belt that comes with the skirt.

Mocha Mousse has been confirmed by Pantone to be the color for 2025. I’m here for it, and these newest suede thong sandals by Brunello Cucinello coincidentally happen to be the exact Mocha Mousse color way. Kickstart the color trend early by adding these into your wardrobe now. As an added bonus, thong sandals are not going anywhere any time soon!

Another minidress by Saint Laurent that I’m anticipating will be a sold out style. Its newest collection truly ticks every box in my opinion as it has a little bit of everything that we need. Burgundy will be a color that we will continue to see frequently in the season ahead.

We’re going to see a lot more ballerina-inspired styles this year, with inspiration pulled from movement—think yoga, ballet, and pilates; athletic-wear designed for versatility. These ballet flats by Gucci are the perfect introduction to that. Prepare to see a lot more of these lace-up ballerinas this year ahead!

The designer that is solely responsible for the resurgence of all things boho, we have Chemena Kamali to thank for all of it. We are going to see a lot of sold out styles from Chloé this year, starting with this lace-trimmed dress. If you’re wanting to tap into the boho trend but are unsure which piece to buy into for the season, this dress is the perfect starting point! The styling options are endless.

Another Mocha Mousse item has made it into this month’s list, this time by Magda Butrym. Her pieces continue to sell out collection after collection. It’s already showing low stock across almost all sizes, and I’m certainly not surprised.

cropped suede bomber jacket

Baby pink is going to be here, there, and everywhere in 2025—mark my words. We saw it heavily on various spring/summer 2025 runways, and it will really kick in come summer. If you’re looking for the perfect little pink dress for any upcoming occasion, this is the one. I love the lower back detail, it couldn’t get any chicer.

appliquéd crepe mini dress

Coming in at number 10 is Khaite’s latest organza blouse. Pink is prevalent throughout Khaite’s latest collection, but with investment dressing continuing to be front of mind this year, I personally love how versatile this style is. As it’s constructed of 100% silk, it can be worn on its own or as a layering piece.

Miu Miu topped all my expectations as a top selling brand in 2024, and I am absolutely confident that it will continue well into 2025 (and beyond!). Every collection is better than the last, how is that possible? It’s the Miu Miu effect. Everyone needs a Miu Miu tank in their wardrobe, and their newest style is an immediate yes, and a guaranteed sold-out item.

I recently added this bag charm into my collection, and now I am adamant that it’s a must-have for all. It comes in a variety of different styles, but the pink has by far been the most popular (we have Kylie Jenner to thank for that!).

Teddy bag charm with metal ring

Bag straps, of all kinds and colors, will continue to trend this year as you can personalize any bag to reflect own style ethos. This rope keychain iterates on the nautical theme Miu Miu introduced last spring.

It wouldn’t be a Hot List without multiple Miu Miu items. The speed in which their key pieces continue to sell out is nothing short of remarkable. I love the layering options for this overall mini dress, there’s no shortage of ways to style it. I know an investment piece when I see one.

Taking cues from the spring/summer runways where we saw hints of the fisherman aesthetic, I wouldn’t be surprised if this emerged as a top warm-weather trend this year with lots of nautical-inspired elements seeing demand. My top pick to kick off the trend are these bloomer shorts by Australian brand, Hope & May. I personally lived in these throughout my trip to Australia last month—they also come with a matching top!

Currently my most requested evening bag from Saint Laurent, this style is 100% on track to be a bestseller and a guaranteed sold out style. It is available, as I type this, for pre-order and I certainly wouldn’t hesitate in snatching it up.

It has been perhaps too long since a Christian Louboutin style has made it onto my list, but their newest Cassia style has been an immediate hit. Leaning into the ballerina aesthetic that is bound to be highly sought after this year, it’s easy to see why the demand was instant.

Cassia 100 bow-detailed satin-crepe pumps

Alaïa will continue to dominate throughout 2025, from their ready-to-wear to their handbags, and absolutely their shoes. The immediate stand out from this season is this baby pink draped gown. Recently worn by Lara Worthington, a style muse for many, the comments were flooded with compliments on this dress.

A couple of months ago I hosted a dinner with one of my favorite brands Toteme, and these shearling slip ons were available as an exclusive preview. It is safe to say that they were the talk of the event (and my DMs once I posted a photo!). Produced in both ecru and black, they are already showing low stock.

Ending this month’s column with an item that I live in when I travel. Elysewalker is a beautiful multi-brand boutique, with an online store and various locations based around Los Angeles, and I am devastated to say that their flagship store burnt down last week in the Palisades. Many may not know that they have their own line, which consists of the most incredible cashmere pieces and other wardrobe essentials. I personally travelled in this hoodie and matching pants on my most recent (13 hour!) journey to Australia. The quality is incredible, and I couldn’t recommend it highly enough.

December

The last month of the year, can you believe it!? This year has flown by! A lot has happened over the past 12 months, especially within my DMs, and I therefore couldn’t resist on dedicating this month’s column to my most requested and bestselling pieces of 2024. This month, we will look back at the pieces that truly took over my DMs throughout the year, and cemented themselves as must-have styles.
