The Best Eiffel Tower Photo Locations – Red Soles and Red Wine
Paris is one of my favorite places to visit and nothing beats capturing that perfect shot with the Eiffel Tower as your backdrop. Whether you’re strolling through cobblestone streets, dining along the Seine, or crossing a romantic bridge, there are endless spots to snap that iconic Paris moment. These are some of my favorite photo locations I’ve visited over the years for those dreamy Eiffel Tower pictures. Keep reading below for locations and tips to getting the best shots.
My Favorite Eiffel Tower Photo Locations
📍 Place de Varsovie
This square offers sweeping views of the Eiffel Tower, especially stunning at golden hour. It’s a less crowded alternative to Trocadéro, making it perfect if you want the tower as your main focus without too many distractions.
📍 Francette Restaurant (@francette_restaurant)
Dining with a view? Yes, please. Just visited here on my most recent trip with a good friend. Francette is a floating restaurant right on the Seine, giving you a unique perspective of the Eiffel Tower while you sip wine and enjoy a Parisian meal. A must for both food lovers and photo enthusiasts.
📍 Rue de l’Université
A dreamy Parisian street where the Eiffel Tower peeks through perfectly between elegant Haussmann buildings. Early morning is best before it gets busy.
📍 Bir Hakeim Bridge
Modern, cinematic, and instantly recognizable. The symmetry of the bridge frames the tower beautifully.

📍 Rue de Buenos Aires
A hidden gem with a charming Parisian neighborhood vibe and a straight shot view of the tower. It feels a little more secret and less touristy.
📍 Avenue de Camoëns
A quiet, tucked-away street that feels like a secret viewpoint. The stone steps and Parisian balconies make it an incredibly chic photo location.
📍 Pont d’Iéna
This bridge leads directly to the base of the tower and is perfect for wide shots with plenty of movement and energy. A great place to capture both the monument and the bustling Parisian vibe.
📍 Champ de Mars
The iconic park at the base of the Eiffel Tower. Pack a picnic, bring a bottle of wine, and you’ll have both the experience and the photos of a lifetime.
📍 Place du Trocadéro & Trocadéro Steps
One of the most famous spots to capture the tower. Sunrise is magical here, with the first light hitting the monument. Sunset is equally breathtaking, but expect a crowd.
🚙 La Petite Frenchie Tours (@lapetitefrenchietours)
For a fun twist, book a vintage car tour around Paris. Not only will you feel like you’re in a classic French film, but you’ll also stop at some of the best Eiffel Tower viewpoints along the way. It’s an experience and a photoshoot rolled into one.
Final Tips
- Go early in the morning for fewer crowds and softer light.
- If you want the Eiffel Tower to sparkle in your photos, time your shoot on the hour after sunset—it’s pure magic.
- Mix up your shots: close-ups, wide angles, street style vibes, and candid moments.
Whether you’re after that postcard-perfect shot or a more editorial, chic angle, these locations never disappoint. Paris and the Eiffel Tower are timeless, but your photos can be unique depending on when and how you capture them.
