No, Not Heels: Ballet Flats Are Still Hot for Spring and I Want These as a Ballet Flat Connoisseur

No, Not Heels: Ballet Flats Are Still Hot for Spring and I Want These as a Ballet Flat Connoisseur

I am a ballet flat connoisseur. They are a key aspect of my personal style. Whenever I can wear a pair, you’ll see me wearing a pair. I just think they’re the most delightfully cute shoes that make me feel whimsical when I skip around the city in them. There’s nothing better than the feeling of a great ballet flat on your feet.

Over the years, I have amassed a small collection of ballet flats and yet I still find myself always wanting more. It’s nice though because I can always justify buying another pair since I wear them so often. They’re comfortable! They’re versatile! I have never regretted a pair of ballet flats. And below are three new kinds I have my eyes on that I also know will bring me no remorse after I add-to-cart.

Animal print is a neutral. This is a hill I will die on. But, some animal prints get all of the glory! Leopard print in particular. With maximalism coming back into the trend cycle, animal print feels like it’s everywhere. But I am particularly into tiger print, it’s a little less expected and looks so fierce on a ballet flat.

Sneaker Ballet Flats

The sneakerina, or sneaker-ballet-flat hybrid is one of the freakiest shoe mash-ups we never knew we needed. But it makes sense! Ballet flats are dainty in nature but they’re highly practical like a sneaker. Both shoes were made for walking, so why not combine them for the most feminine-yet-sporty flat you can wear everywhere?

Butter Yellow Ballet Flats

Butter yellow is a major Spring 2026 color trend. It’s a soothing color that also calls to mind the sunny days we’ll all be getting to see a lot more of now that the warmer seasons are finally here. Wearing them on your feet brings a whole new meaning to the phrase ‘walking on sunshine.’ It’s a mood booster in a shoe.
