Jennifer Lawrence Perfects Her Transitional Outfit Formula
When Jennifer Lawrence finds a look that works for her, she sticks with it. Take this past June, when she combatted a brutal New York City heatwave by pairing an oversized white graphic tee with a white slip skirt, an open-toed sandal, and a red bag—and then recreated that very same look in August.
Now, Lawrence is taking her tried-and-true outfit formulas into fall. Last night, she styled a simple white T-shirt with a black A-line Deiji Studios midi skirt and a Dissh blazer. Lawrence zhuzhed up the outfit with a pair of black Wayfarer sunglasses, black satin pointy-toe Claudette flats from The Row, and her go-to statement necklaces. She expanded her already impressive Loewe bag collection (which features a vintage bowling bag and a Puzzle tote) with a brown Squeeze bag.
The outfit is nearly identical to one she wore last month for a date night with her husband, Cooke Maroney. She opted for the same boxy white tee, black Deiji Stusios skirt, and Dissh blazer, but her August iteration featured black ballerinas with a rounded toe, a slim pair of DMY sunglasses, and a Dior D-Vibe bag.
When it comes to building transseaonal outfits, take a cue from Jennifer Lawrence: if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
