I’m Not Even Joking, This New Concealer Is Basically a Blurring Skin Filter in a Bottle
Is it just me, or is it practically impossible to find a good concealer? Those with high coverage look heavy on my skin, while lightweight formulas barely even get to work on my dark circles (trust me, I’ve tried so many under-eye concealers). Not to mention the fact that every formula seems to crease after a few hours of wear. Even as a beauty editor with access to hundreds of samples, I’ve still struggled to find the perfect formula. So, when I heard about the new Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Blur Concealer, I didn’t even bother trying it, assuming it would be like everything else.
However, a few weeks after it launched, it felt like everyone I knew was going on about how good it was. I turned to one of my friends and said, “Is it really worth the hype?” and she answered with a hard yes. My friends aren’t the type to embellish, so I did what any beauty journalist would, and decided to try it out for myself.
I don’t want to spoil the whole review, but if I had to describe this product in one word, all I would say is wow. It’s like a blurring skin filter in a bottle. But more on that, and everything else I want you to know, below…

The Formula
Right, let’s get into it. This is a lightweight, high-coverage, hydrating concealer (yes, really), which the brand claims delivers 24 hours of creaseless wear. While I’ve not worn it for a straight 24 hours myself, here’s what I can confirm. First of all, the coverage is good. So good that you really only need a small amount to do your entire face. Secondly, somehow this concealer also feels incredibly creamy and hydrating. Tilbury refers to it as her “elastic-stretch” formula, and I couldn’t think of a better phrase.
It contains hyaluronic acid and squalane, so even my incredibly dry under-eyes lap this stuff up. However, it’s been designed with dark circles, blemishes, redness, pores and pigmentation in mind, and much like the Airbrush Flawless Foundation, it delivers a truly blurring effect. Plus, it comes in 34 shades, including a wide range of cool, neutral and warm undertones.
The Application
The wand comes with a unique diamond-shaped applicator that makes it easy to swipe onto the skin. But, as mentioned above, a little of this concealer goes a very long way, so I recommend dotting it onto the skin rather than going for a full-on swipe. Funnily enough, the wand also comes with a “precision Micro-Dot tip”, making this quick and easy to do so. I used both a makeup brush and my fingers to blend this out, and found that both worked just as well.

The Verdict
So, what’s the verdict? I didn’t think I’d say it, but I’m kind of in love with this product. I’m yet to find a concealer that delivers such high coverage while still feeling lightweight and natural on the skin. As someone who gravitates towards “no makeup” makeup looks but also suffers from breakouts and incredibly dark circles, this concealer has bridged the gap between a weightless formula and a blurring finish, which isn’t an easy thing to do.
That being said, I do think it’s quite easy to go overboard with this. When I first tested it out, I applied way too much and experienced a little bit of caking and creasing throughout the day, but I have since learnt the error of my ways. If you want to get the most out of the formula, I recommend starting with a small amount and going from there. In all honesty, I’m not sure any concealer can be totally creaseproof, but I’d say this comes pretty close.
