Even for a Low-Key Date Night, Jennifer Lawrence Can’t Leave Her Favorite Accessories at Home

Jennifer Lawrence and husband Cooke Maroney have been making the most of the last bright summer nights with casual evenings out in New York. Last week, the actor, art dealer, and parents of two kids hopped on their Citi Bikes after a low-key dinner. This week, they headed out to the movies on the Lower East Side. Whatever the vibe, though, don’t expect J Law to leave her most trusted accessories at home.

Yesterday (August 26), Lawrence opted to wear a favorite cobalt blue V-neck sweater with a white shirt underneath, paired with straight leg blue wash jeans—continuing her early-adopter commitment to fall fashion. To accessorize, the Die, My Love actor opted for a navy baseball cap, Mila satin black flats by The Row (seen most recently in red on Kendall Jenner, who used them to zhuzh up her own denim), and a beloved, slouchy red vintage Fendi bag.

The look was textbook Jennifer Lawrence, long a fan of the novelty baseball cap to add some edge to an ultra feminine outfit or lean into her more casual, summer in the city vibe. The actor can’t ever be seen without something from The Row, be it knitwear, a cult bag, an elevated basic, or a quietly subversive shoe. Her choice of Fendi bag, of course, comes from a suite of Fendi purses and an even bigger, enviable collection of archival bags—from a hard-to-come-by leopard print Prada to a lesser known Hermés bag, and trend pre-empting shapes like bowling and doctor’s bags.

In saying that, just this week, the Dior ambassador added a new it-bag into her current rotation: namely, the Dracula book tote, a new-era accessory from Dior creative director Jonathan Anderson that’s already been toted by Rihanna. While Lawrence loves her signature pieces and uses them often, she’s not averse to a fresh-off-the-runway piece either.

But as always, Lawrence’s allegiance to her cult accessories keep good.
