Did Foot-Jewelry Shoes Just Become the Biggest Trend of 2025?

We’re not having a subtle summer, folks—especially when it comes to shoes and accessories. The theme this season has undoubtedly been maximalism, in contrast to the low-key luxury look of recent seasons past. Fashion people have been experimenting with bold, notice-me trends this summer, and one of those you can’t help but spot in a crowd is jewelry-embellished shoes, which are everywhere right now.

Given how quickly bag charms became a mainstream trend, I can’t say that I’m all that surprised that now we have shoe charms (although in most cases, they’re not removable, unlike with bag charms). In addition to charms in the shapes of seashells, coins, and hearts (among others), shoes embellished with jewelry-like pieces have quickly become one of the biggest trends of the season. It’s safe to assume that this trend is inspired by Tory Burch’s wildly popular pierced shoe collection, which first made its debut in its S/S 23 collection. And the brand continues to release new iterations of pierced and modern metal-embellished shoes several years later.
