Bella Hadid Is All For High-Contrast Bra Straps
What says high-low dressing better than pairing your nude Valentino top with bold black bra straps? At least, that’s what Bella Hadid seems to think.
Out to dinner in Los Angeles last night, Hadid modeled a lowkey look in a three-quarter-length sweater, belted just under the bust, which she styled with a pair of classic indigo straight-legged jeans. On the accessories front, Hadid kept things neutral with a brown Coach Tabby bag, nude pointy-toe Jimmy Choo heels, and sleek oval sunglasses.
But it was Hadid’s visible black bra straps that added a charmingly disheveled energy to an otherwise put-together look. It seems no accident either: Hadid’s Valentino sweater featured a wide, clavicle-baring neckline that offered plenty of room for her bra straps.
Hadid is no stranger to cheeky, visible undergarments. In September, just ahead of Paris Fashion Week, the model arrived in Paris wearing a sheer white tank over a lacy white bra, which struck a contrast with her office-friendly trousers and loafers. In February 2024, she opted for a sheer white tank over a black bra, which she styled with jeans, a leather jacket, and tennis shoes.
Sure, not every situation calls for an in-your-face sheer top-bold bra combo. But, if you feel like channeling Bella Hadid, remember: a peekaboo bra strap is a playful entrée into exposed underwear.
