Israel’s security cabinet convenes to discuss Gaza plan without IDF’s hostage head

An Israeli official told The Jerusalem Post that the cabinet would not discuss the question of attempting to reach a partial deal or not.

Israel’s security cabinet met on Sunday night to discuss the next steps in the operation to take over Gaza City as hostage families protested outside of IDF headquarters in Tel Aviv.

An Israeli official told The Jerusalem Post that the cabinet would not discuss the question of attempting to reach a partial deal or not.

“What was agreed in the last cabinet is the current decision: only a deal that will release all the hostages.”

Major-General (res.) Nitzan Alon, head of the IDF’s Hostages Directorate, was not invited to the security cabinet meeting. The reason is that there will be no discussion regarding negotiations for a hostage deal.

This is a developing story.
