Fashionable People Are Wearing This
The chicest jewelry trend of spring 2026 can be found in your grandmother’s jewelry box: the brooch. My most beloved piece was gifted to me by my own grandmother when I was very little. It is a two-tone sterling silver pin depicting a dachshund. Ever since then, I’ve taken an interest in collecting unique and eye-catching pins. As luck would have it, this dated trend is up for a revival.
As seen on spring/summer runways from Matthieu Blazy’s Chanel to Miguel Castro Freitas’s Mugler, the “dated” accessory is making a comeback. Jonathan Anderson’s haute couture collection for Dior S/S 26 rivals the bouquets of a florist shop. Blooming florals, architectural pinings, and animal-themed brooches are among the leading trends.

Off the runway, fashion people have taken to the spring 2026 trend, using it both practically and aesthetically. Fastening it to hold a sweater draped over the shoulder or ornately decorating the lapel of a blazer or as a calling card to the style set. After all, this “dated” jewelry trend is for those in the know.
Thankful for my grandmother’s foresight, I’m well-equipped to style the brooch trend this spring. Whether I choose to wear it on the breast pocket of an oversize button-down (inspired by Chanel S/S 26, of course) or on a jacket’s collar, it comes down to the brooch itself. Something whimsical. Something structural. Something antique. Whatever it may be, I suggest connecting with a loved one to nab a family heirloom, browsing secondhand, or shopping for any of the lovely brooches I’ve included below.
