Tom Blyth and Emily Bader Talk Heeled Boots and Preferred Bedtimes in the Latest ‘Off the Cuff’
As the buzz surrounding People We Meet on Vacation—Netflix’s new adaptation of the bestselling 2021 novel by Emily Henry—reaches a fever pitch, stars Tom Blyth and Emily Bader sit down to charge through some wide-ranging, rapid-fire questions from Vogue for the latest installment of Off the Cuff.
So, what do we learn about this dynamic duo? For one thing, a word that Bader always struggles to pronounce is “horseradish”; she believes that her People We Meet on Vacation costar embodies the rom-com trope of a “mysterious stranger with a motorcycle and a leather jacket”; and she’s the type to turn in early and watch HGTV while on vacation (relatable). Blyth, for his part, loves a good pair of boots (“The minute I started wearing boots with a decent heel, suddenly I was 10 times more confident”); neither he nor Bader have ever edited their own Wikipedia page (“Isn’t that someone else’s job?” he asks); and while Blyth claims he can’t remember the last time he asked somebody for a favor, Bader has his number: “He’s lying. He’s so needy.”
But that’s not all: from their favorite thing to do “for the plot” to the fashion moments they’ll never forget, Bader and Blyth cover a lot more ground. You won’t want to miss one single, charming moment.
