Israeli military says three militants killed in northern West Bank
The Israeli military on Tuesday said it killed three militants in the north of the West Bank in a “counterterrorism operation.”
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said its units identified a “terrorist cell in a cave and fired at them.”
The trio had reportedly taken part in “terror activity in Jenin,” which is considered a stronghold of Palestinian militants.
The Palestinian news agency WAFA also reported on the incident in the cave.

The situation in the occupied West Bank has worsened since the massacre by the Islamist Hamas in Israel on October 7, 2023, and the resulting war in Gaza.
According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, hundreds of Palestinians have been killed in Israeli military operations, armed clashes and attacks in the West Bank in the past two years.
Meanwhile, radical Israeli settlers have stepped up their attacks on Palestinians. Human rights activists accuse the Israeli military of often failing to intervene in such incidents.
