49ers’ Brock Purdy Unlikely to Play Sunday

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy missed the team’s last practice before heading to Green Bay, an indication that he will not play Sunday. Purdy is dealing with a right shoulder injury.
Purdy left the practice field soon after Thursday’s session began and didn’t throw a pass through the first four periods of practice on Wednesday.

Backup quarterback Brandon Allen is expected to start if Purdy can’t play, per 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan.
The latest update is bad news for a San Francisco squad that has to win most, if not all, of their upcoming games in order to get a spot in the playoffs.
