16 Thoughts I Had About the Trailer for Melania Trump’s New Documentary

Just in time for Melania Trump’s well-documented favorite time of year, Amazon Studios has released the first trailer for an upcoming documentary about the first lady.

Set to be released in theaters on January 30, Melania—which apparently cost $40 million to make—chronicles 20 days in her life prior to the 2025 inauguration. Watch the trailer for yourself, then read (literally) all the thoughts I had about it below:

  1. Brett Ratner directing?
  2. Truly beautiful that the Trump administration is so deeply committed to giving rightfully canceled creeps an umpteeth chance ❤️
  3. “Here we go again,” indeed.
  4. Hey, it’s the return of that cursed inauguration hat!
  5. The bronde is bronde-ing, I suppose.
  6. We have stilettos on the ground at 0:21!
  7. A dress being furiously sketched… okay!
  8. What’s up, Barron?
  9. More stilettos.
  10. And some sunglasses, for good measure.
  11. Does Melania Trump, First Lady, really call Donald “Mr. President”?
  12. I know this shouldn’t be surprising, but that is one gilded office.
  13. Releasing this made-to-be-streamed film only in theaters is…a choice.
  14. Somehow, I know less about this woman’s life than I did before I watched this trailer.
  15. And that’s kind of fine with me?
  16. Release the Christmas-decor tapes, you cowards!
